The unique geometry includes raised ribs on the backing surface that create channels for air to circulate. As the grinder spins, these ribs act as a centrifugal fan, forcing a constant stream of air behind the abrasive disc. This active cooling mechanism combats the primary cause of premature disc failure: heat buildup.

Heat generation during grinding can cause the resin bond in fiber discs to soften and glaze over, rendering the abrasive grain ineffective long before it is actually worn down. By maintaining a lower operating temperature, the 15M045 Turbo Pad ensures that the abrasive grains fracture and renew as intended, potentially increasing the lifespan of your sanding discs by up to 50%.

Flexible Density for Precision Finishing

This specific model is molded from a white, flexible polymer. In the Walter color-coding system, white indicates a soft density, making this pad ideal for applications requiring finesse.
