The PFERD POLIFAN SG A-COOL Flap Disc (SKU: 62363) is a specialized abrasive tool engineered to address the specific challenges of grinding materials with poor thermal conductivity and low melting points. Part of the Performance Line SG, this 4-1/2 inch disc features a 60 grit arrangement ideal for intermediate stock removal and blending tasks. The core innovation lies in its abrasive composition: a high-quality Aluminum Oxide blend enhanced with active coolant additives and a special top-sizing.

Standard abrasives often fail on soft metals like aluminum because the material melts and clogs (loads) the spaces between grains, rendering the disc useless. The A-COOL SG technology prevents this loading, ensuring continuous cutting action and extended tool life. Additionally, on stainless steel (INOX), the coolant properties significantly reduce heat build-up, minimizing the risk of heat discoloration and thermal stress on the workpiece.
