The Walter 08L600 ALU™ grinding wheel is a specialized abrasive solution engineered specifically for the challenges of processing aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Standard abrasives often fail when applied to soft metals due to "loading"—a phenomenon where the soft material melts and adheres to the abrasive grain, effectively smoothing the wheel and halting the cutting action. The ALU™ series utilizes a proprietary formulation that prevents this clogging, ensuring continuous, aggressive material removal throughout the life of the wheel.

This 6-inch Type 27 wheel features a 1/4-inch thickness and a standard 7/8-inch arbor, making it compatible with most industrial 6-inch angle grinders.
