The Walter 14D028 Topcut Plus File Belt is a high-performance abrasive solution designed for precision stock removal and finishing in confined areas. Measuring 1/2 inch by 12 inches, this belt is engineered to fit standard pneumatic and electric file belt sanders (finger sanders). It features Walter's proprietary Topcut Plus technology, which utilizes premium Zirconia Alumina grain. This grain structure is self-sharpening, providing a consistent cut rate throughout the life of the belt, making it significantly more efficient than traditional aluminum oxide alternatives.

Thermal management is a critical factor in abrasive performance, particularly when working on heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel. The Topcut Plus series incorporates active cooling agents directly into the top coat of the abrasive. This reduces friction and heat generation at the contact point, preventing glazing of the belt and thermal discoloration (blueing) of the workpiece. The 80 grit composition offers a balanced profile suitable for medium stock removal, blending weld seams, and general surface conditioning.

Durability is ensured through a heavy-duty polyester cloth backing that resists stretching and tearing, even under the high tension and stress typical of file sanding operations.
