The United Abrasives/SAIT 22230 "The Ultimate Cut™" is a premium performance abrasive wheel designed for industrial fabrication environments requiring versatility and safety. Engineered with a proprietary blended grain structure, this wheel delivers best-in-class cutting speeds across a wide spectrum of materials, including stainless steel, high tensile alloys, ferrous metals (iron, steel, welds), and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. The ability to transition between ferrous and non-ferrous materials without significant loading or loss of performance makes it an essential consumable for mixed-metal workshops.

This 4-1/2" x .045" x 7/8" wheel features a Type 1 (Type 41) flat profile, ideal for deep cutting and maintaining a perpendicular angle to the workpiece. The .045-inch thickness is optimized to minimize the heat affected zone (HAZ) and reduce material waste, resulting in cleaner cuts that require less secondary processing or deburring.
