The 4-VBN is designed for use with Propane or Natural Gas. It is not compatible with Acetylene.

The size 4-VBN tip is rated to cut steel up to 3 inches (approximately 76mm) thick.

It is called 'Bulldog' because of its heavy-wall design which makes it extremely durable and resistant to slag build-up, ideal for aggressive scrap cutting.

Yes, if you have a standard Victor cutting torch or cutting attachment that accepts V-series tips, the 4-VBN will fit.

This is a two-piece tip, consisting of an inner spline and an outer shell, which is required for proper combustion of propane and natural gas.

Because it is a two-piece tip, you should separate the outer shell from the inner spline and clean the splines with a soft wire brush or cloth. Do not use standard wire tip cleaners on the splines as they may damage the gas passages.

While it can cut accurately, the Bulldog is optimized for scrap and rough cutting. For high-precision shape cutting on clean plate, a standard GPN tip might be preferred, though the VBN is capable.

The heavy wall acts as a heat sink to keep the tip cooler and provides a physical barrier that prevents molten slag from adhering to the tip face, extending the consumable's life.
