Designed to sever carbon steel ranging from 9 inches to 12 inches in thickness, this tip is an essential component for heavy fabrication, scrap processing, and demolition operations. The 1502 Series is renowned for its robust one-piece copper construction, which ensures optimal heat transfer and longevity even under the thermal stress of prolonged heavy cutting. The internal geometry is precision-machined to deliver a stable, laminar gas flow, resulting in high-quality cuts with minimal slag accumulation.

Technical specifications for the 15Z21 are optimized for efficiency and power. The nozzle operates with a cutting oxygen pressure of 55 to 65 PSIG and a preheat oxygen pressure of 30 to 35 PSIG. Acetylene fuel gas is regulated between 10 and 12 PSIG. At these settings, the tip consumes approximately 630 to 905 cubic feet per hour (CFH) of total oxygen and 40 to 55 CFH of acetylene. This energy throughput enables a cutting speed of 2.4 to 3.0 inches per minute, producing a kerf width between 0.190 and 0.210 inches. The six-hole preheat configuration provides a medium preheat intensity, which is critical for maintaining the ignition temperature on thick sections without overheating the top edge.
