The Miller/Smith HBAS-30510 Heavy Duty Torch Outfit is a premium oxy-acetylene cutting system designed for professional industrial environments. At the core of this outfit is the renowned SC229 Straight Cutting Torch, a tool engineered for resilience and performance in the most demanding conditions. The torch features a nickel-plated finish that resists corrosion and reflects heat, ensuring longevity even in high-temperature work zones. Its internal design utilizes a tube-within-a-tube construction, where the internal gas tubes are silver-brazed for superior strength and leak resistance.

Advanced Safety and Performance

Safety is paramount in the design of the HBAS-30510. The system employs Smith's signature in-tip gas mixing technology. By mixing the oxygen and fuel gas within the tip rather than the torch handle, the risk of flashback is significantly reduced, keeping the mixed gas volume far from the operator's hands. This design also separates the gases until the point of ignition, which prevents mixing tube burnout. The outfit includes torch-mounted flashback arrestors (H743) to further enhance operator safety during operation.

Superior Component Quality

The outfit is equipped with Series 30 medium-duty regulators for both oxygen (30-100-540) and acetylene (30-15-510). These regulators are built with brass bodies and feature 2-inch corrosion-resistant gauges protected by shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses. The internal mechanism includes a dual-filter design and Sure Seat technology to protect the high-pressure seat from debris, ensuring reliable pressure control over years of service. The included SC12-1 cutting tip utilizes Graf-Tite soft seat material, which is practically indestructible and provides a positive gas seal with only hand-tightening, eliminating the need for wrenches during tip changes.

Ergonomics and Versatility

The cutting lever is reversible, allowing it to be mounted on either the top or bottom of the handle to suit individual preference or specific job requirements.
