The Smith Equipment 16205 Medium Duty Combination Torch Kit is a comprehensive oxy-acetylene system engineered for professional reliability and precision. At the core of this package is the WH100 torch handle and the MC509 cutting attachment, both of which exemplify Smith's commitment to safety and durability. The system utilizes a "tube-within-a-tube" construction on the handle, where internal threads are protected from physical damage if the torch is dropped, ensuring longevity in rugged industrial environments. The internal tubes are silver-brazed, providing exceptional leak resistance and strength compared to standard soldered joints.

A defining technical feature of this Smith assembly is the Graf-Tite™ soft seat technology used in the cutting tips. Unlike traditional metal-to-metal seats that can easily be damaged by overtightening or debris, the soft seat material compresses to form a positive seal, protecting the torch head's seating surface from nicking and wear. This design significantly extends the service life of the torch head and reduces the frequency of expensive repairs.
