The Smith HBA-40510 Heavy Duty Outfit is a premium oxy-acetylene system engineered for rigorous industrial environments. At the core of this system is Smith's renowned in-tip gas mixing technology. Unlike traditional torches that mix gases in the handle or tubes, this outfit mixes oxygen and acetylene strictly within the tip itself. This design significantly enhances operator safety by keeping the mixed, combustible gas volume to an absolute minimum, thereby greatly reducing the risk of flashback and extending the lifespan of the torch components.

Built for durability and performance, the outfit includes the WH200A heavy-duty torch handle featuring a double-tube design. This tube-within-a-tube architecture provides exceptional strength while minimizing weight, reducing operator fatigue during extended use. The internal stainless steel tubes are silver-brazed for superior leak resistance and structural integrity. Paired with the SC209 cutting attachment, this system is capable of cutting steel up to 8 inches (203mm) thick when equipped with the appropriate tips. The cutting attachment utilizes a three-tube construction to keep gases separated until they reach the mixing tip, eliminating the possibility of mixing tube burnout.

Precision control is managed by the included Series 40 heavy-duty regulators. These regulators are constructed with forged brass bodies and feature large, easy-to-read 2.5-inch gauges with shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses. The internal mechanism includes a stainless steel ball-style valve for chatter-free seating and accurate pressure delivery. The outfit also features Graf-Tite soft seats in the tips, which are resilient and practically indestructible, ensuring a positive seal even after repeated use. This kit comes complete with everything needed to start working immediately, including flashback arrestors, hose, and safety gear.
