The Uniweld A-8 Twister® Tip is a high-performance air/acetylene combustion component designed for professional HVAC/R and plumbing applications. Engineered with Uniweld's proprietary helical blade technology, this tip generates a high-velocity swirl flame. The internal blade forces the gas mixture into a rapid spiral motion, maximizing turbulence and mixing efficiency. This results in a flame that is not only stable under adverse environmental conditions—such as high winds on rooftops—but also exceptionally efficient in heat transfer. The flame wraps around the workpiece, ensuring uniform heating of copper tubing and fittings.

The A-8 model is specifically calibrated for a #8 tip size, offering a versatile heat output suitable for a wide range of pipe diameters. It provides a soft solder capacity of up to 2 inches (50mm) and a silver braze capacity of up to 1 inch (25mm). This makes it an ideal choice for technicians working on medium-sized refrigeration lines and plumbing installations. The tip utilizes a Quick Connect coupling mechanism, ensuring secure and rapid attachment to compatible handles without the need for wrenches.
