Propylene and other alternative fuels burn at a slower rate than acetylene. To compensate for this, the 3-GPP tip utilizes a recessed design (often referred to as a skirted or two-piece tip) which allows the flame to anchor properly. This ensures a stable preheat flame and prevents the flame from blowing off the tip end during operation. The two-piece construction, typically consisting of a brass outer shell and a splined inner member, optimizes the gas mixture for maximum thermal efficiency.

This Size 3 tip is ideal for heavy-duty fabrication, structural steel work, and general maintenance where deep cutting capacity is required.
