This design is critical for alternative fuels; the recess created between the inner and outer members acts as a flame anchor, stabilizing the combustion of slower-burning gases like propane and natural gas. This ensures a consistent preheat flame even under the high-pressure conditions of machine cutting or heavy-duty hand cutting.

This specific model is a Size 000, the smallest in the 1-GPN lineup, calibrated for cutting material approximately 1/8 inch (3 mm) in thickness. The precision-drilled oxygen orifice ensures a tight, controlled cutting stream, minimizing kerf width and reducing slag accumulation on thin materials.
