The outer shell is copper, while the inner member is brass with splined passages, allowing for a stable and heavy preheat flame that anchors effectively to the tip face even under the high-velocity conditions associated with propane cutting.

This tip is rated for cutting mild steel with a thickness of approximately 2-1/2 inches (63.5 mm). It is designated as a Type 1 tip within the Victor classification system. The physical dimensions include a standard Victor-style seating arrangement, ensuring full compatibility with a wide array of industrial equipment.
