The Miller Smith 622-01-08-00-00 Silverline High Purity Brass Two-Stage Regulator is engineered for applications where gas purity and pressure stability are paramount. Part of the renowned 620 Silverline Series, this regulator is specifically designed for non-corrosive specialty gases, making it an ideal choice for analytical laboratories, research facilities, and precise process control environments. The unit features a robust nickel-plated brass bar stock body that not only provides a clean, professional aesthetic but also ensures long-lasting durability against environmental factors.

At the heart of this regulator is a specially designed stainless steel diaphragm. Unlike traditional elastomeric diaphragms that can absorb and release contaminants (outgassing), the stainless steel construction ensures the integrity of the gas stream is maintained from the cylinder to the application. This is further reinforced by a metal-to-metal body-to-diaphragm seal, eliminating the need for O-rings that could compromise purity. A filtered seat mechanism adds an additional layer of defense, trapping particulates before they can affect the regulator's performance or contaminate downstream equipment.

Functionally, the two-stage design is critical for applications requiring unwavering pressure delivery. As the high-pressure cylinder empties, single-stage regulators typically experience a rise in outlet pressure (decay). This two-stage model compensates for inlet pressure fluctuations, providing a constant 0-100 PSI delivery pressure throughout the life of the cylinder. Safety is also a priority, with captured 1/16" FNPT vent ports on the bonnet allowing for the safe piping of vented gases in the event of a diaphragm failure. The regulator comes equipped with a CGA 540 connection for Oxygen service and is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 3500 PSI.
