OVERVIEW

High Purity Gas Control with Miller Smith 310 Series

The Miller Smith 310-66-24-00-00 Silverline High Purity Regulator is a premium gas control device engineered for applications demanding the highest levels of cleanliness and precision. Designed as part of the renowned 310 Silverline Series, this single-stage regulator is constructed to prevent contamination in high-purity systems while providing accurate regulation of non-corrosive, corrosive, or toxic gases. The unit is specifically configured with a CGA 580 inlet connection, making it suitable for inert gases such as Nitrogen, Argon, and Helium, where maintaining gas stream purity is critical.

At the core of this regulator is its robust construction. All wetted parts are manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel and PCTFE (Polychlorotrifluoroethylene), ensuring exceptional resistance to corrosion and chemical attack. This material selection is vital for maintaining the integrity of the gas stream and extending the service life of the equipment, even in harsh environments. The regulator features a 316 Stainless Steel filtered seat, which adds an extra layer of protection against particulate contamination, further safeguarding downstream equipment and processes.

Precision pressure control is achieved through a specially designed convoluted stainless steel diaphragm. Unlike rubber or elastomeric diaphragms, this metal-to-metal diaphragm seal provides maximum leak integrity, virtually eliminating the risk of gas contamination or leakage. This design also offers superior sensitivity, allowing for stable regulation of delivery pressure within the 0-25 PSIG range. The regulator is equipped with large, 2-1/2 inch single-scale gauges that are easy to read, ensuring operators can monitor system status at a glance.

Safety is a paramount concern in high-purity and specialty gas applications. The Miller Smith 310-66-24-00-00 includes a captured vent port (1/16" FNPT) located in the bonnet. This feature allows for the safe piping and venting of hazardous gases in the unlikely event of a diaphragm failure, protecting personnel and the facility. Additionally, the bonnet is threaded for front panel mounting, and the body is tapped for rear panel mounting, offering versatile installation options for laboratory benches, control panels, or gas cabinets.

This model comes equipped with a 1/4" MNPT Stainless Steel Needle Valve on the outlet, providing precise flow control directly from the regulator. With a maximum inlet pressure rating of 3500 PSIG, this regulator is built to handle high-pressure cylinders with ease. Whether used in analytical laboratories, semiconductor manufacturing, or pharmaceutical processing, the Miller Smith 310 Series delivers the reliability and purity required for critical applications.
