OVERVIEW

Precision Control for High Purity Applications

The Miller Smith 320 Series High Purity Two-Stage Regulator (Model 323-66-25-00-00) is engineered to meet the rigorous demands of analytical laboratories and industrial processes requiring absolute gas purity and precise pressure control. Built on the renowned 320 Silverline platform, this regulator is specifically designed for use with both corrosive and non-corrosive gases. The body and all wetted parts are machined from high-grade 316 stainless steel and PCTFE, ensuring exceptional resistance to chemical attack and maintaining the integrity of the gas stream.

A defining feature of this model is its two-stage regulation mechanism. Unlike single-stage regulators that may allow delivery pressure to drift as the supply cylinder empties, this two-stage unit reduces pressure in two steps. This results in a constant, unwavering delivery pressure regardless of inlet pressure fluctuations, a critical requirement for sensitive instrumentation such as gas chromatographs and emission monitoring systems. The regulator supports a maximum inlet pressure of 3500 PSI and offers a precise delivery range of 0-250 PSI.

Internally, the regulator utilizes a convoluted stainless steel diaphragm which provides superior sensitivity compared to standard flat diaphragms. This is paired with a metal-to-metal diaphragm seal, a design that maximizes leak integrity—an essential safety factor when handling hazardous gases. To further enhance operational safety, the bonnet is equipped with captured vent ports (1/16" FNPT), allowing users to pipe vented gases to a safe disposal area in the unlikely event of a diaphragm failure. Additionally, a 316 stainless steel filtered seat prevents particulate contamination, extending the service life of the unit.

Designed for versatility and reliability, the Miller Smith 323-66-25-00-00 is capable of withstanding internal vacuums during purging operations. It is recommended that a Cross Purge Assembly be used with this series to ensure effective removal of hazardous gas traces during cylinder changes. With its robust construction and precise engineering, this regulator is the optimal choice for critical gas delivery systems.
