OVERVIEW

Precision Control for Specialty Gases

The Miller Smith 320 Series High Purity Two-Stage Regulator is engineered for applications demanding the utmost precision and cleanliness. Designed specifically for analytical instrumentation, research laboratories, and petrochemical processes, this regulator ensures that gas purity is maintained from the cylinder to the point of use. The model 320-70-20-00-00 features a CGA 320 inlet connection, making it suitable for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and compatible specialty gas mixtures requiring stainless steel components.

Superior Materials for Corrosive Environments

Constructed from high-grade 316 stainless steel bar stock, the body and wetted parts of this regulator offer exceptional resistance to corrosion. This is critical when handling reactive or corrosive gases that would degrade standard brass regulators. The seat assembly utilizes PCTFE material, known for its chemical stability and resistance to absorption, further ensuring that the gas stream remains uncontaminated. A 316 stainless steel filtered seat is integrated to trap particulates, extending the service life of the unit and protecting downstream equipment.

Advanced Design Features

This two-stage regulator provides constant delivery pressure regardless of fluctuations in cylinder pressure, a vital feature for long-duration experiments or processes. It utilizes a unique convoluted stainless steel diaphragm that offers superior sensitivity and control compared to standard flat diaphragms. The metal-to-metal diaphragm seal eliminates the need for elastomeric o-rings in the sensing element, maximizing leak integrity (1 x 10^-9 cc/sec Helium leak rate). Additionally, the bonnet includes a captured vent port (1/16" FNPT), allowing for the safe piping away of hazardous gases in the unlikely event of a diaphragm failure.

Versatile Application

Whether used for gas chromatography, emission monitoring systems, or laser gas delivery, the Miller Smith 320 Series delivers reliable performance. It is designed to withstand internal vacuums, making it compatible with purge cycles essential for maintaining system purity during cylinder changeouts. The large 2-1/2" single-scale gauges are easy to read, and the unit supports front panel mounting for integrated system builds.
