The Lincoln Electric K2977-XL SteelWorker™ Welding Gloves are engineered to meet the dynamic needs of professional steel fabricators and metalworkers. Unlike traditional stick welding gloves that prioritize thick insulation over movement, the SteelWorker™ series utilizes a strategic combination of leather types to offer both protection and precision. The palm is constructed from high-quality top grain cowhide, renowned for its resistance to abrasion and punctures, making it ideal for handling raw steel, operating grinders, and managing sharp metal edges. This durable palm is also padded, providing an additional layer of comfort and vibration dampening during power tool operation.

Complementing the rugged palm is a back made from grain goatskin. Goatskin is celebrated in the industrial safety industry for its high tensile strength relative to its weight, as well as its suppleness. This allows the back of the hand to breathe and flex naturally, significantly reducing hand fatigue during long shifts. The glove features a 'Keystone' thumb design, an ergonomic cut that improves dexterity and allows for a better grip on tools and materials. The entire glove is stitched with high-strength, heat-resistant thread (often Kevlar® or Nomex®), ensuring that the seams hold up against the rigors of daily industrial use.
