The critical areas of the shoulders and sleeves are constructed from premium cowhide leather. These zones are the most susceptible to heavy weld spatter, sparks, and direct heat radiation during MIG or Stick welding. The leather provides an impenetrable barrier, ensuring that your arms and upper body remain safe from burns. In contrast, the front and back of the torso are fashioned from Proban-treated FR (Fire Retardant) cotton. Proban is a technologically advanced fabric that maintains its flame-retardant properties for the life of the garment. This material is significantly lighter and more breathable than leather, allowing air to circulate and keeping your core body temperature lower.
