Unlike standard polyethylene caps, the Roughneck series is constructed from a proprietary injection-molded fiberglass compound. This material choice provides exceptional strength and durability, making it resistant to cracks, impacts, and the general wear and tear of heavy construction and industrial fabrication sites.

One of the standout features of the P2A model is its impressive heat resistance. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 370°F (188°C), it is the ideal choice for foundries, steel mills, and other high-heat applications where standard plastic shells might soften or deform. Despite its rugged build, the helmet is designed for comfort. It features the patented SuperEight suspension system, which utilizes eight load-bearing points to distribute weight and impact energy evenly across the head, reducing pressure points and fatigue during long shifts.

This model comes equipped with a ratchet adjustment mechanism, allowing users to easily tighten or loosen the fit with a single knob, even while wearing gloves.
