The Dixon 15316BA Twin Hose is a specialized gas distribution solution designed to bridge the gap between standard industrial gas regulation equipment and lightweight, precision welding torches. Unlike standard hoses that utilize uniform fittings on both ends, this assembly features a "B to A" configuration. The regulator end is equipped with standard CGA 'B' size fittings (9/16" - 18), compatible with the vast majority of industrial oxygen and acetylene regulators. The torch end, however, terminates in CGA 'A' size fittings (3/8" - 24), which are standard on smaller, aircraft-style torches and light-duty jewelry or maintenance torches. This direct configuration eliminates the need for heavy, bulky brass adapters at the torch handle, improving ergonomics and reducing the potential for leaks.

Grade R Construction

Constructed as a Grade R hose, this product is engineered specifically for Acetylene and Oxygen service. The inner tube and outer cover are made from EPDM rubber compounds that resist heat, abrasion, and ozone deterioration. While Grade R is the industry standard for acetylene, it is important to note that it is not suitable for use with alternate fuel gases such as propane or propylene (which require Grade T). The hose is rated for a working pressure of 200 PSI, providing a significant safety margin for standard oxy-acetylene welding and brazing operations.

Optimized Dimensions

With a 3/16-inch inner diameter, this hose is significantly lighter and more flexible than standard 1/4-inch hoses. This reduction in weight and stiffness is critical when performing fine detail work, as it reduces drag on the torch and minimizes operator hand fatigue. The 15-foot length is specifically chosen for bench-top applications and small fabrication cells where excessive hose length would create tripping hazards or clutter. The twin-line construction keeps the oxygen and fuel lines neatly bonded together, preventing tangling and maintaining an organized workspace.
