OVERVIEW

Product Overview

The HOSTH-1931 is a premium Grade T Twin Welding Hose designed for industrial oxy-fuel applications. Measuring 25 feet in length with a 3/8-inch inner diameter, this hose is engineered to deliver consistent gas flow for cutting, welding, brazing, and heating operations. Unlike Grade R hoses, which are limited to acetylene use, this Grade T hose is manufactured with a polychloroprene tube and cover, making it fully compatible with all common fuel gases, including Propane, Natural Gas, Propylene, MAPP, and Acetylene.

Technical Specifications

This hose assembly features a siamese (twin) design to prevent tangling and improve workspace organization. The green line conveys oxygen, while the red line conveys the fuel gas. The 3/8-inch diameter is particularly advantageous for applications requiring higher flow rates than standard 1/4-inch hoses can provide, reducing pressure drop over the length of the assembly. The hose is rated for standard industrial working pressures and meets or exceeds ARPM (Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers) IP-7 specifications for Grade T welding hose.

Material and Durability

Constructed from high-quality synthetic rubber, the hose offers excellent resistance to oil, flame, and abrasion. The oil-resistant tube is critical for safety when using alternate fuels like propane, which can cause Grade R hoses to rot and degrade internally. The cover is designed to withstand the rigors of the shop floor, resisting cuts, sparks, and ozone cracking. The reinforcement layer ensures the hose maintains its structural integrity under pressure while remaining flexible enough for easy manipulation during welding tasks.

Connections and Compatibility

The assembly comes pre-fitted with standard industrial brass fittings. These are typically B-Size (9/16" - 18 threads), ensuring compatibility with the vast majority of industrial regulators and torch handles. The fittings are crimped securely to withstand the rated working pressure and provide a leak-free connection. This hose is an essential component for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) environments where versatility in fuel gas selection is required.

FAQ

Grade T hose is oil-resistant and safe for use with all fuel gases, including Propane and Natural Gas. Grade R is only safe for Acetylene and can degrade if used with other fuels.

Yes, Grade T hose is fully compatible with Acetylene, as well as other fuel gases.

This hose typically comes with standard B-Size fittings (9/16" - 18 threads), which fit most industrial regulators and torches.

A 3/8 inch hose allows for higher gas flow, which is beneficial for heavy-duty cutting or heating applications. For light-duty work, 1/4 inch is often sufficient.

Yes, the Grade T designation indicates that the hose material is resistant to oil, making it safer and longer-lasting in industrial environments.

Green indicates the Oxygen line, and Red indicates the Fuel Gas line. The fittings are also threaded differently (right-hand for oxygen, left-hand for fuel) to prevent cross-connection.

No, this hose is designed strictly for welding gases and should never be used for breathing air applications.
