The Miller T-M047 AccuLock MDX Contact Tip is a critical component designed to enhance the performance of Miller MDX-100, MDX-250, and MDX-EZ-Select MIG guns. Engineered specifically for 3/64-inch (1.2 mm) welding wire, this contact tip represents a significant advancement in consumable technology, focusing on wire-feed optimization and thermal management. Unlike traditional tips that may allow for misalignment between the liner and the tip bore, the AccuLock MDX system ensures the contact tip is perfectly aligned and centered with the liner lock when the diffuser is tightened. This creates a flawless, uninterrupted wire-feed path that drastically reduces friction and feeding resistance.

Thermal conductivity and heat dissipation are addressed through the tip's unique geometry. The T-M047 features a "Cooling Tail" design, where the tail of the contact tip resides inside the gas diffuser, allowing it to be actively cooled by the flow of shielding gas.
