The Tweco 171435-002 Drive Roll Kit is an essential component for maintaining the precision and reliability of Thermal Arc and Tweco Fabricator series welding systems. Engineered specifically for the wire feed mechanisms of the Fabricator 181i, 211i, and 252i, this drive roll features a dual-groove design that accommodates the two most prevalent solid wire diameters in light-to-medium industrial fabrication: 0.030-inch (0.8mm) and 0.035-inch (0.9mm).

Manufactured from hardened steel, the roll is designed to resist the abrasive wear caused by the continuous friction of steel and stainless steel wires. The V-groove geometry provides optimal traction on solid wires without deforming the wire cross-section, a critical factor in maintaining consistent electrical contact at the contact tip. Unlike knurled rolls which bite into the wire, this smooth V-groove ensures that the copper coating on MIG wires remains intact, reducing the accumulation of copper flakes in the liner and gun.

The reversible nature of the component allows operators to switch between wire sizes rapidly by simply flipping the roll, thereby reducing downtime during setup changes.
