The Miller 151028 is a comprehensive Drive Roll Kit designed specifically for industrial wire feeding applications using .052-inch (1.3 mm) solid wires. Engineered by Miller Electric, this kit is compatible with 60 Series and 70 Series wire feeders, which are commonly found in heavy-duty manufacturing and fabrication environments. The kit features a V-Groove geometry, which is the industry standard for feeding hard wires such as mild steel and stainless steel. Unlike knurled rolls that bite into the wire or U-groove rolls designed for soft aluminum, these V-Groove rolls provide the necessary friction for consistent feeding without deforming the wire's cross-section or flaking the copper coating.

Technical Specifications & Compatibility

This kit is a 4-roll system, meaning it replaces all drive rolls in a four-drive-roll feeder setup, providing superior traction compared to two-roll systems. It is critical for maintaining arc stability, particularly over long conduit runs or when using heavy spools. The kit includes not just the four drive rolls, but also the essential wire guides: an inlet guide, an intermediate guide, and an anti-wear guide. Replacing these guides simultaneously with the rolls is best practice, as worn guides can cause wire drag and feeding issues even with new rolls installed. Application Notes

When installing the 151028 kit, ensure that the wire feeder tension is adjusted correctly.
