The Lincoln Electric KP23-62F is a high-performance gas nozzle designed for the heavy-duty demands of industrial MIG welding. Part of the widely utilized 23 Series consumable line, this nozzle features a 0.62-inch (5/8") inner diameter (ID), making it the standard choice for general fabrication applications requiring 250 to 400 amps. The bore size is optimized to provide adequate shielding gas coverage for solid wire welding without being so large as to impede access to tight joints.

Engineered with a "Fixed Flush" geometry, the KP23-62F ensures that the contact tip sits flush with the nozzle exit. This configuration is preferred for short-circuit and spray transfer modes where the welder requires a consistent electrical stick-out (ESO) and clear visibility of the weld puddle. Unlike adjustable nozzles that can slip during operation, the fixed design maintains constant parameters, reducing variability in the welding process.

A key technical feature of this nozzle is its integrated electrical insulator. Material and Durability

This thermal management extends the service life of the nozzle and reduces the adherence of weld spatter. The machined threads provide a secure mechanical connection to the gas diffuser, preventing gas leakage and ensuring laminar flow for defect-free welds.
