The Tweco 25CT-62 Nozzle is a premium component designed for the rigorous demands of medium to heavy-duty industrial welding. Part of the renowned 25CT series, this nozzle is machined directly from a solid bar of Copper Alloy 145 (Tellurium Copper). Unlike standard nozzles formed from drawn tubing, this machining process guarantees exceptional concentricity and consistent wall thickness. The use of Alloy 145 provides superior thermal conductivity, allowing the nozzle to dissipate heat rapidly during high-amperage welding cycles up to 550 amps. This efficient heat management is critical for preventing the adhesion of weld spatter and extending the service life of the consumable in continuous production environments.

One of the defining technical features of the 25CT-62 is its two-piece design philosophy. The nozzle housing is distinct from the nozzle insulator, meaning the metal housing threads onto the insulator rather than the conductor tube directly. This architecture allows for the economical replacement of the copper housing without necessitating the disposal of the insulator if it remains functional. The unit features coarse threads, which are less prone to cross-threading and seizing in high-heat and spatter-rich environments compared to fine threads. This ensures that maintenance and changeovers can be performed quickly and reliably on the shop floor.

The 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) bore size is optimized for a wide range of wire diameters and shielding gas flow rates, providing a stable column of gas to protect the weld pool. The nozzle is designed with a recessed tip relationship, where the contact tip sits slightly back inside the nozzle bore.
