The Tweco 21-50 (Stock No. 1210-1110) is a standard MIG welding nozzle designed for precision and durability in light to medium-duty applications. Engineered to handle welding currents up to 180 amperes, this nozzle is a staple for professionals utilizing Tweco MIG guns. The 21-50 features a 1/2-inch (12.7mm) bore size, which provides excellent gas coverage for standard welding operations, ensuring a clean and stable arc. This specific model offers a recessed contact tip relationship, positioning the tip 0.125" to 0.156" back from the nozzle edge. This recess is particularly advantageous for higher heat applications where a longer electrical stick-out is required, or when the nozzle might come into contact with the workpiece during tack or spot welding.

Advanced 3-Piece Construction

Tweco's renowned 3-piece nozzle design sets the standard for longevity and performance. The assembly consists of a nozzle housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, known for its superior thermal conductivity and resistance to spatter adhesion. Inside, a machined solid brass alloy insert features internal threads that match the gas diffuser perfectly, ensuring a tight and concentric fit. Crucially, the nozzle insulator is crafted from G7 silicone material, providing robust electrical insulation that prevents arc tracking and protects the gas diffuser. This 3-piece design eliminates the need for additional separate insulators, simplifying maintenance and replacement.

Reliability and Compatibility

The Tweco 21-50 is compatible with standard gas diffusers (Part No. 51 and 51-23) and is designed to thread securely onto the gun assembly. The part number is roll-stamped clearly on the outside surface for easy identification in a busy shop environment. With an overall length of 2.224 inches and an outside diameter of 0.750 inches, it offers a compact profile suitable for accessing various joint configurations while maintaining robust performance.
