The Tweco 1240-1863 (Model VNM75S) is a high-performance MIG gun nozzle designed for the Velocity™ consumable platform. The VNM75S features a substantial 3/4-inch (19.1 mm) bore orifice, which provides extensive shielding gas coverage, making it particularly suitable for higher amperage applications or spray transfer modes where a larger gas envelope is critical to preventing porosity.

A defining characteristic of this nozzle is its "Short" style configuration. In the Velocity system, the nozzle length relative to the contact tip determines the stick-out or recess. The "Short" designation typically allows for a closer approach to the workpiece or alters the tip-to-work distance relationship compared to flush or recessed models, providing the operator with specific arc characteristics suitable for their joint configuration.
