Technical Overview of the Tweco WS2350 Nozzle

The Tweco 1230-1011 (Model WS2350) is a standard gas nozzle designed for the WeldSkill series of MIG guns. This component is part of the 23 Series consumables line, engineered to provide reliable shielding gas coverage for light to medium-duty welding applications. The nozzle features a 1/2-inch (12.7mm) bore orifice, which is the standard size for general purpose MIG welding, balancing gas flow velocity and coverage area effectively.

Constructed from a durable copper alloy, the WS2350 offers excellent thermal conductivity and resistance to spatter adhesion. The unit utilizes a slip-on connection mechanism, eliminating the need for threads and allowing for rapid removal and replacement during maintenance or contact tip changes. A built-in insulator ensures electrical isolation from the contact tip and gas diffuser, preventing arc-out against the workpiece. This package contains two (2) nozzles, identified by the internal SKU TWE1230-1011.

Compatibility extends across the Tweco WeldSkill line, including many integrated MIG guns found on compact welding machines. The nozzle geometry is optimized to minimize turbulence in the shielding gas stream, reducing the risk of porosity in the weld pool.
