The Tweco 23H50 is a standard-duty, slip-on MIG gun nozzle designed specifically for the robust Tweco 23 Series consumable platform. This product is a critical component for maintaining efficient gas shielding in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and gas-shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW-G) processes. The nozzle features a precise 0.500-inch (12.7mm) bore diameter, which is widely regarded as the industry standard for general fabrication. This bore size provides an optimal balance between gas flow velocity and envelope width, ensuring adequate protection of the weld pool from atmospheric contamination while maintaining sufficient access to the weld joint.

Engineered for compatibility, the 23H50 fits seamlessly with Tweco Professional No. 3 (300 Amp) and No. 4 (400 Amp) air-cooled MIG guns, as well as select Spray Master and Roughneck series models equipped with the appropriate front-end consumables. The nozzle is designed to mate with standard 32, 34, 52, and 54 series gas diffusers. It utilizes a friction-fit (slip-on) mechanism that relies on a tension band or spring within the nozzle assembly to grip the diffuser. This design eliminates the need for threads, which are prone to seizing due to thermal expansion and spatter ingress, thereby facilitating rapid, tool-free changeovers.

Constructed from a high-grade copper alloy, the 23H50 exhibits superior thermal conductivity, allowing it to dissipate the intense heat generated by the welding arc effectively. This thermal management is crucial for preventing the adhesion of molten spatter and extending the service life of the consumable. Additionally, the nozzle incorporates a 3-piece design with a high-temperature electrical insulator. This insulator protects the nozzle body and the gas diffuser from electrical shorts should the nozzle accidentally contact the workpiece.
