OVERVIEW

Advanced Wireless Control for Industrial Welding

The Miller Wireless Hand Control and 14-Pin Receiver System represents a significant leap in welding shop productivity and safety. Designed for professional industrial environments, this system eliminates the need for cumbersome control cords, thereby removing a common trip hazard and reducing the maintenance costs associated with cord repair. Utilizing robust 2.4 GHz ISM band radio frequency technology, the system ensures reliable communication between the operator and the power source, even in electrically noisy environments typical of heavy fabrication and MRO sectors.

Technically, the system offers superior precision. The hand control features a digital meter display that allows operators to preset machine output percentages before striking an arc and monitor actual amperage and voltage during the weld. This real-time feedback loop is critical for maintaining strict adherence to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). The Smart Touch™ buttons facilitate granular adjustments in 1% or 5% increments, providing the fine-tuning capability necessary for complex joint configurations and varying electrode types. The system's architecture supports multiple frequency sharing, enabling up to 20 distinct systems to operate simultaneously within a 90-foot (27.4 m) radius without crosstalk, delay, or system interference.

Installation and integration are seamless. The included receiver plugs directly into the standard 14-pin receptacle found on most Miller industrial power sources, requiring no additional wiring or complex setup. The transmitter is easily programmable and can be paired with any other Miller 14-pin wireless receiver, offering flexibility for fleet management. With an operating range of up to 300 feet (91 m), operators can work at significant distances from the power source—ideal for large-scale structural work or shipbuilding—without compromising control authority. The unit is powered by three standard AA batteries, delivering approximately 250 hours of battery life, and is built to withstand harsh temperature extremes ranging from -13°F to 158°F.
