Unlike standard collet bodies that often produce turbulent gas flow, the Gas Saver utilizes a tungsten adapter and collet body assembly to generate a highly uniform, laminar flow pattern. This laminar column of gas remains coherent over a longer distance, effectively shielding the weld pool even with extended tungsten stick-out.

One of the primary technical advantages of this system is the reduction in shield gas consumption. By minimizing turbulence and focusing the gas column, operators can often reduce their Cubic Feet per Hour (CFH) settings by up to 40% without compromising weld quality.
