The Weldcraft AK1C TIG Accessory Kit is a comprehensive package designed to outfit WP-9, WP-20, and WP-280 series TIG torches. This kit is an essential procurement for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) departments looking to standardize consumables for low-amperage air-cooled and water-cooled TIG applications. The AK1C consolidates all necessary front-end components into a single SKU, simplifying inventory management and ensuring that operators have the correct matched parts for their specific torch bodies.

At the core of this kit are the 2% Ceriated tungsten electrodes. Ceriated tungsten (EWCe-2) is a non-radioactive alternative to Thoriated tungsten, offering excellent arc starting performance at low amperages and maintaining a stable arc in both DC and AC processes. This makes the kit particularly suitable for orbital tube welding, pipe fabricating, and thin-gauge sheet metal work where precision is paramount. The electrodes come in standard 7-inch lengths and cover diameters of .040", 1/16", and 3/32", allowing for a wide range of amperage settings.

The kit also includes the corresponding collets and collet bodies for each tungsten diameter, ensuring secure electrode clamping and efficient current transfer. Three alumina nozzles (sizes #4, #5, and #6) are provided to control gas coverage for various joint configurations. A long back cap is included to accommodate full-length tungsten electrodes.
