OVERVIEW

Precise Acetylene System Diagnostics

The ESAB 262510 Acetylene Test Gauge is an essential diagnostic tool for any professional welder or maintenance technician working with oxy-fuel systems. Designed specifically for the unique safety requirements of acetylene gas, this gauge features a 0-15 PSI scale, ensuring that operators can strictly monitor pressures to stay within the safe working limit of 15 PSI. The gauge is mounted on a standard B-Size (CGA 022) inlet connection, utilizing 9/16"-18 Left-Hand threads, making it directly compatible with standard acetylene regulators, hoses, and torch handles.

Accurate pressure verification is critical for both safety and weld quality. This test assembly allows users to check for "regulator creep"—a condition where the delivery pressure rises when the torch valves are closed—which can be a sign of a failing regulator seat. It also assists in determining the dynamic pressure drop at the torch inlet during operation, ensuring that the tip receives the correct flow for a neutral flame. Constructed with durable brass fittings and a robust gauge case, it is built to withstand the rigors of daily shop use.

Key Applications:

  • Verifying regulator outlet pressure accuracy.

  • Testing for pressure leaks or regulator malfunction.

  • Troubleshooting flow issues at the torch end.

  • Training and educational demonstrations on gas safety.
