The mechanical design features a robust cam-action locking mechanism. When mated with a corresponding female connector, the cam lock creates a high-pressure contact area that resists loosening due to cable manipulation or vibration. This positive locking action not only ensures electrical integrity but also enhances safety by preventing accidental disconnections under load. The connection to the cable itself is achieved via a large, oval-point set screw, which can be tightened securely using a standard 1/4-inch (6.35mm) Allen wrench.
