The Miller PAPR 2 with T94iH-R Welding Helmet is a comprehensive safety system designed for the most demanding industrial environments. Integrating a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) with a high-impact MSA V-Gard® hard hat, this system addresses multiple hazards simultaneously: welding fumes, airborne particulates, and overhead impact risks. The core of the system is the Generation 2 blower unit, a lightweight (3 lbs) yet robust assembly that delivers HEPA-filtered air to the user. With an Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of 25 using the standard head seal, and capable of reaching an APF of 1000 with the optional heavy-duty seal (287188), this unit meets NIOSH 42 CFR 84 standards for respiratory protection against weld fumes, hexavalent chromium, and other contaminants.

The blower assembly features an intelligent LCD display that provides real-time status updates on fan speed, filter saturation, battery level, and current time. Operators can select from three airflow speeds—Low (175+ lpm), Medium (195 lpm), and High (215 lpm)—to customize cooling and positive pressure based on environmental conditions. The system is powered by lightweight lithium-ion batteries, with two included in the kit to ensure continuous operation. Each battery provides up to 8-10 hours of runtime depending on the selected flow rate and features a rapid 3-hour charge cycle with no memory retention issues.

The T94iH-R helmet assembly is engineered for optical superiority and ergonomic balance. It utilizes Miller's ClearLight™ 2.0 Lens Technology, which optimizes contrast and clarity in both light and dark states. The lens offers a versatile range of shades, including Weld (8-13), Cut (5-8), Grind (3), and X-Mode (8-13). X-Mode is particularly critical for outdoor or obstructed view welding, as it electromagnetically senses the arc to prevent sunlight interference. The helmet also features a massive 44-square-inch integrated grind shield with High-Definition View (HDV) technology, ensuring a sharp, distortion-free view during material preparation. The patent-pending Dualtec™ manifold system distributes air through a 6-point system, maximizing perceived cooling and preventing fogging.
