At the core of this helmet is Lincoln's proprietary 4C® Lens Technology. Unlike traditional auto-darkening filters that often impart a lime-green tint to the weld puddle, the 4C technology broadens the color range and hues that can be seen in both light and dark states. This results in a true-color view that eliminates imperfections and color saturation, allowing for better control over the weld puddle and reduced eye strain over long shifts.

Technically, the K3173-3 boasts a perfect 1/1/1/1 optical clarity rating according to the EN379 standard. This rating certifies that the lens excels in four critical categories: optical quality, diffusion of light, variation of luminous transmittance, and angle dependence.
