The ESAB CarryVac 2 P150 AST is a small, lightweight, and portable extraction unit designed to be carried to the working area. Ideal for maintenance, repair, and light production duties, this unit ensures compliance with safety regulations regarding welding fumes. The unit is connected to a welding torch or to an extraction nozzle, extracting fumes directly at the source, which is the most effective method of filtration.

Engineered for the professional environment, the CarryVac 2 P150 operates on a standard 110/120V US power supply, making it versatile for various job sites where industrial 3-phase power may not be available. The "AST" designation refers to its integrated Automatic Start/Stop function. This intelligent feature utilizes a sensor clamp attached to the welding cable; the unit automatically turns on when the welding arc is struck and turns off after a preset delay when welding stops. This not only conserves energy but also extends the lifespan of the motor and the filter cartridge.

The polluted air is drawn through a filter separator where coarse particles are separated. The air then passes through a main filter cartridge which captures 99.7% of the fine particles. The clean air is recirculated back into the workspace, preventing heat loss in climate-controlled environments. With a weight of approximately 16kg, it is easily transported by a single operator. The unit comes equipped with a filter indicator that clearly shows when the filter needs to be replaced, ensuring optimal performance is maintained.
