Industrial-Grade Mobile Fume Extraction

The Miller FILTAIR® MWX-S (Self-Cleaning) Mobile Fume Extractor is engineered for manufacturing and fabrication environments where welding fumes are a constant byproduct. This unit (SKU 300531) is the base system designed to be paired with a Miller extraction arm (sold separately). At the core of the MWX-S is Miller's proprietary FilTek® XL Filter Technology. Unlike standard cellulose filters that depth-load and clog rapidly, FilTek XL filters are surface-loading, allowing them to capture up to 95% of weld fume particulates with a MERV 15 rating while remaining easy to clean.

Self-Cleaning Efficiency

Maintenance downtime is minimized with the MWX-S's integrated self-cleaning mechanism. By connecting a dry compressed air supply, operators can initiate a pulse cleaning cycle with the push of a button. This system blasts air from the inside of the filter out, dislodging accumulated particulate into a dedicated disposal drawer at the bottom of the unit. This feature not only extends the lifespan of the filter by up to two times compared to treated cellulose alternatives but also ensures consistent airflow and suction performance throughout the shift.

Robust Construction and Mobility

Built to withstand the rigors of industrial use, the MWX-S features a heavy-duty metal cabinet. It is mounted on large rear wheels and lockable front swivel casters, allowing it to roll easily over cables and uneven shop floors. The unit includes a 20-foot power cord for extended reach and a built-in tool tray to keep essential gear organized. A filter pressure gauge provides visual confirmation of filter status, taking the guesswork out of maintenance intervals.
