The Lincoln Electric K1655-1 LFA-3.1 is a high-performance fume extraction arm designed to provide source-capture efficiency in industrial welding environments. Measuring 10 feet (3.0 meters) in length with a standard 8-inch (203 mm) diameter, this arm is engineered to integrate seamlessly with Lincoln's low-vacuum filtration systems, including the Mobiflex® mobile units and Statiflex® stationary wall-mounted units.

Structurally, the LFA-3.1 utilizes a combination of rigid tubing and flexible hose sections. This hybrid design ensures durability while maintaining the flexibility required for dynamic shop floors. The core of its positioning capability lies in the internal spring balance mechanism. Unlike external friction joints that require constant tightening, the internal system protects the balance components from particulate buildup and impact damage, ensuring long-term stability and ease of movement. The arm is capable of 360-degree rotation at the base, allowing for extensive reach without repositioning the base unit.

Aerodynamically, the arm is designed to minimize static pressure loss. The smooth interior of the rigid sections reduces turbulence, allowing the connected fan to operate more efficiently.
