The Lincoln Electric Prism® Mobile with Mechanized Cleaning (K4384-7) is a comprehensive low-vacuum, high-volume welding fume extraction system designed for industrial environments requiring flexibility and high-efficiency filtration. This One-Pak® configuration includes the base mobile unit and a 13-foot (4 meter) K2633-7 extraction arm, providing a complete solution for source-capture fume management.
Engineered for consistent performance, the Prism Mobile delivers a nominal airflow of 735 SCFM. This airflow is optimized to capture thermal plumes generated during welding processes without disrupting shielding gas coverage when positioned correctly. The system utilizes a high-capacity filter cartridge rated at MERV 16, ensuring the capture of sub-micron particulates, including those found in stainless steel and high-alloy welding fumes.
A key technical differentiator of this model is the RotaPulse® automatic filter cleaning system. This mechanism utilizes compressed air to periodically pulse the filter cartridge from the inside out. This action dislodges accumulated particulate cake from the filter media, depositing it into a collection tray at the bottom of the unit. This feature maintains a lower pressure drop across the filter for longer periods, ensuring consistent suction performance and significantly extending the service life of the filter element compared to static systems.
The unit is constructed with a robust chassis equipped with front swivel casters and large rear wheels, allowing for easy maneuverability over uneven shop floors and cables. An internal spark arrestor is integrated into the inlet stream, acting as a pre-filter to capture larger particles and extinguish sparks before they contact the primary filter media, thereby enhancing fire safety. The included 13-foot arm features an external exoskeleton for low static pressure drop and includes an arc sensor and lamp kit, enabling automatic start/stop functionality synchronized with the welding arc.
