FAQ

The MWX-S (Self-Cleaning) features a built-in cleaning mechanism that uses compressed air to clean the filter, extending its life. The MWX-D (Disposable) uses disposable filters that must be replaced when full. The MWX-S is better suited for heavy use.

The fume extraction itself runs on electricity (115V). However, a dry compressed air connection is required to operate the self-cleaning pulse cycle mechanism.

The unit comes with a FilTek XL filter which has a MERV 15 rating, capable of capturing up to 95% of weld fume particulates.

This specific package (951510) comes with a pre-assembled 7-foot extraction arm. 10-foot and 12-foot versions are also available.

There is an easy-to-read color-coded pressure gauge on the front panel. When the pressure drop increases into the designated zone, it indicates the filter needs to be cleaned.
