The Lincoln Electric Statiflex 400-MS (K1742-1) is a robust, stationary wall-mounted low vacuum/high volume fume extraction system designed for light to medium duty welding applications. Engineered for facilities where floor space is at a premium, this unit mounts securely to walls or columns, keeping the work area unobstructed while providing superior air quality control. The system is specifically designed to filter welding fumes from stick, MIG, TIG, and flux-cored processes, ensuring compliance with environmental safety standards.

Advanced Filtration Technology

At the core of the Statiflex 400-MS is a high-efficiency cellulose filter cartridge rated at MERV 14. This rating ensures the capture of extremely fine particulate matter, making it suitable for general steel and fabrication welding fumes. The unit boasts an impressive filter surface area of 538 square feet (50 square meters), which is significantly larger than many competitors in its class. This massive surface area allows for lower air-to-cloth ratios, resulting in higher efficiency and longer filter life.

RotaPulse Cleaning System

Maintenance is streamlined via the integrated RotaPulse filter cleaning system. This mechanism uses pulses of compressed air to dislodge particulate buildup from the filter media, depositing it into a collection bin. This feature maintains optimal airflow over time and reduces the frequency of manual filter changes, lowering total cost of ownership.

System Configuration

The K1742-1 is the base unit, designed to be paired with Lincoln's LFA 3.1 or 4.1 extraction arms (sold separately). It operates on standard 115V single-phase power, drawing only 4.0 amps, making it easy to integrate into existing electrical infrastructure. The unit includes a spark arrestor as a primary safety measure to prevent hot sparks from reaching the filter media.
