By combining a high-precision servo pull feeder with a synchronized push feeder, the AutoDrive SA ensures that soft aluminum wire is delivered to the arc with zero deformation or shaving, maintaining the integrity of the filler metal throughout the process.

At the core of this system is its direct digital integration with Lincoln Electric’s Power Wave® power sources. This communication allows for instantaneous adjustments to wire feed speed and arc characteristics, leveraging Waveform Control Technology® to produce welds of exceptional quality. The system features proprietary Touch-Retract Start technology, which mechanically retracts the wire at the moment of ignition. This action creates a clean, spatter-free arc start without the high-energy explosion typical of traditional methods, significantly reducing post-weld cleaning requirements and preventing burnback issues that can fuse the wire to the tip.

Industrial reliability is further enhanced by the inclusion of Magnum® PRO Copper Plus™ contact tips. These consumables are designed to withstand the high thermal stresses of continuous robotic operation, with a single tip capable of enduring over 250,000 start-stop cycles.
