The Lincoln Electric Flex Feed® 84 Single Bench Wire Feeder (K5000-2) is engineered for the most demanding industrial environments. Designed for heavy fabrication and structural applications, this unit combines rugged durability with advanced process control. At its core is the patented MaxTrac® 4-roll wire drive system, housed in a heavy-duty cast aluminum feed plate. This system delivers consistent, reliable feeding even over long conduit runs and is capable of handling large-diameter wires up to 3/32 inch (2.4 mm) for solid wire and 0.120 inch (3.2 mm) for cored wire—capacities that exceed many competitors in its class.

This specific configuration includes a Heavy Duty Wire Reel Stand, which accommodates spools and coils up to 60 pounds (27.2 kg). This increased capacity significantly reduces downtime associated with frequent wire changeovers in high-volume production settings. The unit is powered by 24-42 VAC input and integrates seamlessly with analog power sources via the included 14-pin control cable. The feeder is rated for up to 600 amps, making it suitable for high-amperage MIG and Flux-Cored welding processes.

Technologically, the Flex Feed 84 offers superior control through its digital user interface. Operators can preset voltage and wire feed speed (WFS) to ensure parameters are within specification before the arc is struck.
