The Lincoln Electric K623-1 Wire Feed Module is a specialized output control device engineered to expand the capabilities of specific Lincoln Electric engine-driven welders. Designed primarily to provide a stable Constant Voltage (CV) output, this module is essential for operators looking to perform high-quality semi-automatic wire electrode welding, including Innershield® (flux-cored) and MIG (GMAW) processes. By integrating this module, the power source gains the ability to maintain a consistent voltage level during the welding arc, which is critical for the deposition characteristics required in wire welding applications.

Installation of the K623-1 is designed to be straightforward, integrating directly into the existing circuitry of compatible machines such as the Classic® I, II, III, and IIID, as well as Pipeliner® 200D and 200G models. It is also compatible with SA-250 Perkins and 350SA Perkins units (specifically those with code numbers 10061 and above) and the SAE-300. Once installed, the module allows the operator to switch seamlessly between the machine's standard Constant Current (CC) mode—ideal for Stick and TIG welding—and the newly enabled Constant Voltage (CV) mode for wire processes. This dual-mode capability ensures that the welder retains its versatility for pipe and structural applications while gaining efficiency in fabrication tasks.

The module assembly includes a built-in contactor system, which provides the safety benefit of keeping the electrode "cold" electrically until the gun trigger is pressed. This feature is standard for modern wire feeding operations and enhances workplace safety. The kit comes complete with the Control Module Assembly, Control Panel Assembly, CV Negative Output Panel Assembly, and all necessary hardware for mounting. Voltage control is accessible via the new panel or can be managed through an optional remote control, offering flexibility for operators working at a distance from the power source. Recommended for use with Lincoln LN-25 and LN-23P wire feeders.
