OVERVIEW

Precision Automated Seam Tracking System

The Lincoln Electric Seam Tracker™ 250 Standard System (10" x 10") is a robust solution designed to deliver precise, automated seam tracking for high-demand industrial welding environments. Engineered for versatility, this tactile system is compatible with a wide range of arc welding processes, including Submerged Arc (SAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). By automating the tracking process, the system ensures optimal torch positioning relative to the joint, significantly improving weld quality and consistency in repetitive applications.

This One-Pak© configuration (K52007-1010) simplifies the procurement and installation process by bundling all essential components into a single SKU. At the core of the system is the CS250 Cross Slide with a 10-inch by 10-inch (254mm x 254mm) stroke, providing ample range of motion for various joint geometries. The included Standard Control (K52020-1) and Standard Pendant (K52022-1) offer an intuitive interface for operators, allowing for quick setup and reliable operation without the complexity of advanced programming. The system utilizes a tactile probe with a 1/8-inch tip to physically trace the joint seam, sending real-time feedback to the motorized cross slides to correct the torch position.

Integration is a key strength of the Seam Tracker™ 250. It is designed to work seamlessly with almost any welding power source, wire feeder, or controller group, making it an excellent retrofit option for existing hard automation setups or new robotic cells. The package includes all necessary interconnect cables, a five-axis probe bracket for flexible sensor positioning, and a weld torch mounting kit, ensuring a turnkey solution for heavy fabrication, pressure vessel manufacturing, and pipe welding.
