Equipped with a comprehensive digital control panel and a large, high-visibility LED display, the EMP 210 enables operators to execute precise adjustments to welding parameters. The system incorporates advanced arc control functions typically found in heavy-industrial equipment, including MIG wire run-in, burn-back control, and variable inductance. These features allow for the optimization of arc stability and weld bead profile. For Stick welding, the machine provides Hot Start and Arc Force controls to prevent electrode sticking and ensure consistent penetration. The Lift TIG function ensures stable arc ignition at low amperages, critical for welding thin-gauge stainless steel and other delicate materials.

Performance and Duty Cycle

The EMP 210 delivers reliable power output for demanding tasks. When connected to 230V power, it achieves a maximum output of 200A for MIG and TIG processes at a 15% duty cycle, and 170A for Stick welding at a 20% duty cycle. On 115V input, the machine maintains a productive 90A output at a 40% duty cycle for MIG and TIG. This performance profile allows for the welding of materials up to 3/8 inch thick. The system is also generator compatible, requiring a 10 kVa output for full functionality in remote locations.

The complete system includes a Tweco Fusion 180A MIG torch, Tweco 17V TIG torch, Tweco electrode holder, Victor gas regulator, and a premium ground clamp. Additionally, the machine is spool gun-ready, allowing for the easy integration of an optional spool gun for aluminum welding applications.
